SKINLAB Filming New Video Next Week
May 6, 2008Bassist/vocalist Steev Esquivel of the veteran San Francisco Bay Area metallers SKINLAB has issued the following update:
"OK, time to drop more info on the 'In for the Kill' video shoot... We'll be filming on Monday, May 12th in Oakland down at our rehearsal warehouse with new, up-and-coming director Jourdan McClure. The video will feature rebounding UFC fighter Nate Quarry and Greg Thompson.
"For those of you who have already contacted or would like to be in the video, hit us up at [email protected] (subject: Video). All ages welcome. Iif you're into metal and UFC/mixed martial arts, get your ass down there and get crazy with us.
"As some of you may know, SKINLAB has been affiliated with the rapidly growing sport of MMA for awhile now, having been featured in 2004 extreme fighting documentary 'The Rites Of Passage' and 'Pitfit' in 2005 we feel that metal and MMA go hand in hand with the aggression the two share. We're super-stoked to have Nate and Greg in the video; two hard-working fighters, one hard-working band!!"
SKINLAB released a live album, "SkinnedAlive!", on April 29 via BCD Music Group. The CD was recorded on June 3, 2007 at The Metro in Oakland, California.
A track from the LP, "Slave the Way", can be heard on the band's MySpace page.
